What is it like to work as a Bricklayer?

Bricklaying is probably the most recognised role in Construction, just take a look around, brick is everywhere. Bricklayers, more commonly known as “brickies” work on many types of projects from small garden walls, to new homes, to major construction projects. They have to be good with numbers and working out and be able to work in a team (very often referred to in the trade as a "gang").

Bricklayers use a variety of band and power tools and various materials including mortar, bricks, blocks, stone, marble and concrete.
