Carpentry & Joinery
What is it like to work as a Carpenter?
Carpenters enjoy working on a variety of projects. They cut, fit and put together wood and other materials for the construction of various buildings, from domestic property to factories. The work is creative and will involve a lot of liaison with clients and, or other construction workers on site.
Carpenters use a variety of portable power tools, including Drills, Routers, Angle Cutters and Circular Saws. They use these in the construction of flooring, doors, roofing, kitchens, stairs and many others. General contractors need carpenters who can do everything from raising rafters to hanging kitchen cabinets.
