Plastering
What is it like to work as a Plasterer?
Plasterer’s skills are required in all aspects of the construction industry, from full-scale construction work to smaller “patching jobs”. The work will involve a lot of liaison with clients and, or other construction workers on site.
Plasterers use a variety of tools including trowels, hawks and mixers. Most people know one part of the plasterer's work: applying wet finishes to walls, ceilings and floors. This is called solid plastering. There's also fibrous plastering, which involves making ornamental plasterwork in a workshop or on site - that's the kind you see on the ceilings of decorative buildings.
